A stray dog got into a fight against a lioness in a forest in India. His bravery delighted the Internet users, who have already turned this homeless animal into a symbol of self-confidence.

In the video posted on the Twitter account of the Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan, you can see how the abandoned dog was attacked by the lioness but managed to defend itself and even counterattacked.

Faced with such bravery, the feline was perplexed, while the dog took the opportunity to retreat and flee from there. Tourists in the safari jeep watched what happened while keeping a safe distance.

“Need this much confidence in life. Dog vs Lion. It also highlights issue of stray dogs & wildlife interaction,” Kaswan said.

This video went viral on social networks after gathering more than 20,000 views in the first hour of posting. Users shared their opinions by commenting on the event.

“It is an excellent example of that size does not matter. Self-confidence is important,” wrote one of the netizens.

“It seems that they were not looking for food, in this case, this canine would become their lunch,” noted another user.
