Two ‘moons’ in the sky scare the residents of Dubai: aliens, apocalypse or something else? | Video

Two round planet-like objects, which appeared in the sky in Dubai, impressed the residents of the city and gave rise to many theories about their provenance: from an alien invasion to the arrival of the apocalypse. However, the explanation is more realistic.

Surprised witnesses of unusual objects in the sky began to speculate on their origin. Some thought it was Planet X or Nibiru, others considered it to be UFOs. Apocalyptic predictions were also heard. At the same time, there were people who thought it was a hoax, which in the end was what seemed most true.

The mystery was revealed on February 9, when the Arab spacecraft Al Amal reached the orbit of Mars. It turned out that the two objects were projections of Phobos and Deimos – two small moons revolving around the red planet – in the sky over Dubai with the help of two huge screens of 100 meters and one of 40.

The Government of the United Arab Emirates explained that they wanted to illustrate the view that opens from Mars to its two satellites.

According to the representative of the UAE Government Media Office, Khaled Alshehhi, the mission to Mars is one of the most daring space initiatives in the country, and to illustrate it was decided to “bring the two moons of Mars to Earth.”
