Nashville radio host who regretted not being more vehemently ‘Pro-Vaccine’ dies of Covid-19

Published on

Phil Valentine, a conservative radio broadcaster in Nashville, died after a long fight with the coronavirus.

WTN Radio issued a social media post announcing the news and requesting that people keep his family in their thoughts and prayers.

Valentine said on his blog in December that his odds of acquiring the virus and dying were “way less than one percent.” While he recommended that people with underlying health conditions should get the vaccine, he also claimed that people who aren’t high-risk are “probably safer not getting” it, and he has been dismissive to vaccines on other occasions as well.

Valentine announced to his fans on July 11 that he had been diagnosed with Covid, but that he will be back on the radio shortly. Valentine’s family and WWTN later claimed that he was hospitalised and in “extremely bad condition,” and that he regretted not being more pro-vaccine.

Phil would like for his listeners to know that while he has never been an ‘anti-vaxer’ he regrets not being more vehemently ‘Pro-Vaccine,’ and looks forward to being able to more vigorously advocate that position as soon as he is back on the air, which we all hope will be soon.
