Indiana woman kidnapped and shot at 30 times, suspect on the run with a rifle

On Jan. 29, an Indiana mother was kidnapped and then found dead a few blocks away, according to The Fort Wayne Police Department.

They now need the public’s assistance.

A Fort Wayne mother and her two children were at home around 5:15 p.m. when a man clad in black forced his way in, according to police. He was carrying a short-barreled rifle and a black rucksack.

The man threatened to kill the mother and her children before grabbing the woman and forcing her to drive the two of them in her SUV, according to authorities.

According to the release, he fired roughly 30 rounds at her in the car, killing her just four blocks from her home. According to authorities, he then fled the scene.

Officials are on the lookout for the shooter, and residents in the vicinity are encouraged to check their security cameras for the man in black fleeing the scene.
