Kremlin says Biden who “demanded to kill people” in Yugoslavia “should keep” his “temper”

Kremlin further adds Biden’s personal attacks limit bilateral relations’ opportunities

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, US President Joe Biden’s personal attacks on Russian President Vladimir Putin have narrowed the window of opportunity for repairing relations between Moscow and Washington.

“Still, a state leader should keep their temper,” Peskov said, referring to another of Trump’s remarks.

“And, of course, each time such personal insults narrow the window of opportunity for our bilateral relations under the current [US] Administration. It is necessary to be aware of this,” Peskov stressed.

He is surprised that Biden, who called for bombing Yugoslavia, says that Putin is bad.

“After all, he is the man who once demanded, speaking on TV in his country, that Yugoslavia be bombed. Exactly, bombardments of Yugoslavia. He demanded to kill people,” Peskov told TASS.

“Therefore, of course, it is at least weird to hear such a thing from him,” he stressed.

On Saturday, Biden paid a visit to a Warsaw stadium housing a facility for Ukrainian refugees. According to the White House, Biden spoke with refugees and volunteers. When a reporter asked Biden what he thought of Putin and the situation in Ukraine, Biden said, “He’s a butcher.”

On March 21, US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan was summoned by the Russian Foreign Ministry, which issued a demarche and delivered him a note of protest in response to Biden’s recent offensive comments against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On March 17, Biden made more disparaging words about Putin, describing him as a “murderous dictator, a pure thug who is waging an immoral war against the people of Ukraine.”

A day before, in response to a reporter’s question, the US president stated that he viewed Putin as a “war criminal.” These words, Peskov told TASS at the time, were unacceptable and inexcusable rhetoric.
