Police say that a woman was inside her room when she was shot at a Super 8 motel in Raleigh last night.

Officers from the Raleigh Police Department arrived at the motel at 2501 S. Saunders St. around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Surveillance video shows three males knocking on the motel room door, according to investigators. According to witnesses, the woman opened and then closed the door, and as she stepped back into the room, she was shot in the abdomen.

Officials said the woman, who was brought to a local hospital, is likely to recover from her injuries.

The shooter and the two individuals who were with him are being sought by police. There was no description of the suspect available.

It’s unclear whether the suspects knew who the woman was.
