Extra belly fat can cause heart attacks or strokes as it surrounds key organs. It is possible to lose this type of fat by eating the correct nutrients.

Belly fat isn’t simply a problem if you want a six pack, it may also be dangerous to your health because it surrounds your essential organs and makes you more likely to get heart disease, diabetes, or problems with your liver.

When doctors talk about belly fat, they’re talking about visceral fat rather than subcutaneous fat. Simply put, this means that your body stores fat deeper inside, closer to your organs.

Visceral fat is more dangerous than subcutaneous.

A Springer Open study found that the best way to help the body burn fat is to drink a lot of water, work out regularly, and eat so-called thermogenic foods.

Thermogenic foods can help speed up your metabolism and burn more calories by boosting thermogenesis. This is the process by which your body burns calories to use the food you just ate, turning those calories into heat.

Most of the calories you eat are burned by your body’s normal metabolic processes and physical activity. However, some calories are also burned by a process called diet-induced thermogenesis.

The following are some thermogenic foods that can help you burn belly fat and enhance your metabolism.

  • Capsaicin in chili peppers
  • Certain spices such as black pepper
  • Ginger
  • Coconut oil
  • Protein

Protein might be an effective approach to losing belly fat. Its primary function is to produce and repair bodily tissue, making it a vital component of your health.

Higher protein intake has been demonstrated to lower cravings by 60% in previous research.

Protein eating has also been shown to increase metabolism by up to 80-100 calories per day.

The effects of dietary protein on perceived appetite during weight loss were studied in a study published in the journal Obesity in 2011.

A group of 27 overweight and obese males were included in the study.

The participants were divided into three groups: two ate high-protein meals three or six times a day, while the third ate three standard meals.

According to the findings, boosting protein consumption to 25 percent of total calories could lower cravings by 60 percent.

This could also cut the impulse to munch at night in half, according to the study.
