One of Iran’s missile bases revealed in 2021 is an example of the Iranian Army’s predilection for underground bunkers, which are designed to remain hidden from satellites. An Iranian television network has now broadcast footage of a drone base.

Rows of drones can be seen parked in tunnels of several hundred meters in footage provided by the Persian country’s state chain. The drones are also armed with missiles that look to be the Qaem-9, an Iranian version of the American Hellfire.

The Kaman-22 drone is featured prominently in the paper, which the Iranian military claims is capable of covering a distance of at least 2,000 kilometers. Furthermore, they stated that the base is several hundred meters deep.

According to the source, the base is somewhere in the Zagros mountain range, which spans from the Gulf Coast to the Iraqi-Turkish border in the north.

The reporter did not disclose any other information on the base’s likely location, saying only that it takes roughly 45 minutes to reach there from Kermanshah in western Iran. His eyes were closed for the duration of the journey.

According to the source, the facility shelters more than 100 drones that are ready to carry out their tasks. Mohammad Bagheri, Iran’s Chief of Staff, was also present, claiming that his country is a legitimate regional giant in the drone sector.

Heidar-1 and Heidar-2, two new cruise missiles, were also unveiled at the base. The first, which has a range of 200 kilometers and can be launched from a drone, is the first Iranian cruise missile.
