Fucoxanthin, a component of seaweed, has been linked to studies in Japan that suggest it may aid with blood sugar regulation.

Additional research has discovered that seaweed prevents blood sugar spikes in mice fed a high-sugar diet.

It is believed that alginate can aid in the reduction of sugar absorption into the bloodstream.

Such effects may minimize cardiovascular disease risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes, according to experts.
