Visceral Fat: The Hidden Threat Lurking in Your Belly – How To Eat Food, Sugar And Still Lose Weight

Published on

The dangers of visceral fat, stored deep within the abdomen and surrounding vital organs such as the liver and intestines, cannot be overstated.

This stealthy fat can lead to serious health issues if it accumulates, and while food is a major contributor, it can also serve as a remedy.

Signs like an increased waist circumference may indicate the presence of this harmful fat, which should be kept at a minimum to prevent serious conditions such as heart disease and diabetes, warns Harvard Medical School.

Fortunately, cinnamon may boost fat loss and reduce your waist size.

Cinnamon is more than just a great spice for cooking; it is distinguished by its sweet, aromatic flavor.

Cinnamaldehyde is a powerful compound that could help target visceral fat.

Research published in the Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology investigated the effects of this substance on fat accumulation.

In the study, mice were split into two groups and had to consume a diet heavy in fat and sugar.

One of the two groups in this study got a daily dosage of cinnamaldehyde, whereas the other received none.

The study team discovered that the mice on the cinnamon diet had lost fat four weeks earlier.

However, these advantages were not seen by the group that didn’t adhere to the cinnamaldehyde regimen.

These results suggest that cinnamaldehyde has the potential to increase fatty visceral tissue metabolism.

Even though this is only a small amount of research on animals, a study in the journal Clinical Nutrition suggested that people might be able to get the same benefits.

Cinnamon was shown to “significantly” reduce waist circumference in 786 people over the course of 12 weeks in 12 trials.

According to experts, waist circumference is one of the signs of visceral fat adiposity.

According to the study’s findings, adding cinnamon to a diet “significantly” changes obesity-related metrics and may be advised as a weight-loss supplement.

Additionally, cinnamaldehyde has been linked to improved metabolic health, according to another research that was published in the journal Metabolism.

The team of researchers said that cinnamon works directly on fat cells to make them burn energy.

But the exact effects on visceral fat haven’t been looked into in this study of humans.

Also, the researchers said that more research is needed to figure out how to use cinnamaldehyde most effectively without causing “adverse side effects.”
