Green Tea Alternative? Nutritionist Claims One Drink Holds the Key to a Productive Morning

“If you want to have energy and feel good,” you should try this drink.

Nutritional therapist Aislinn Cambridge asserts that there is a morning drink that can work wonders and leave us feeling rejuvenated.

Instead of battling morning fatigue and lacking energy, Cambridge suggests a simple yet effective solution to elevate our mood, enhance sleep quality, and boost our energy levels.

However, Cambridge, a nutritional therapist, and Pure Results ‘Minister 4 Happiness,’ claims that we can combat morning fatigue, elevate our moods, improve our sleep, and boost our energy by following her advice.

According to Cambridge, the key is to consume a specific drink consisting of only two ingredients. While we are aware of the benefits of staying hydrated with water, she suggests enhancing its effects by adding a squeeze of lemon to a cup of warm water.

In an interview with RSVP Live, she emphasized the significance of hydrating our bodies and reducing blood pressure by drinking water from the moment we wake up.

“There is one thing that absolutely everyone should be doing from the minute they wake up in the morning and that is drink water, it hydrates your body and lowers blood pressure.

“If you want to have energy and feel good, a warm cup of water with half a lemon squeezed into it. It’s like magic.”

Lemon water, however, is not the sole solution for feeling prepared to start the day. Cambridge also highlighted the importance of taking proper care of oneself before going to bed in order to wake up feeling better.

She recommended allowing a minimum of three hours between the last substantial meal of the day and bedtime to enable proper digestion before resting for the night.

She explained, “If you’re eating a meal and attempting to sleep an hour or two later it will cause havoc because your body can’t digest nor rest and recover, the two cancel each other out.

“Both your sleep and your digestion will be affected and when combined it will have a severe impact on your mood. I recommend leaving at least three to four hours after a big meal.”

Furthermore, Aislinn Cambridge warns against the use of artificial sweeteners when craving sugar. Contrary to popular belief, she advises against reaching for “sugar-free” alternatives as they can have a more detrimental impact on the body compared to natural sugars.

Many diet drinks contain aspartame, an ingredient that our bodies struggle to process, leading to negative effects on our gut health.

Aspartame is deemed more harmful, inflammatory, and corrosive than actual sugar. Hence, Cambridge advocates for avoiding artificial sweeteners to maintain a healthier lifestyle
