The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said that the Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with a series of new sexual assault claims made by one man.

According to allegations, the 63-year-old Hollywood celebrity committed the offenses against the victim between 2001 and 2004.

The CPS has already charged Mr. Spacey with four counts of sexual assault and one count of forcing a person to take part in penetrative sexual activity without their consent.

In July, he denied five charges involving three males from 2005 and 2013. They’re in their 30s and 40s.

Now, in addition to the previous charges, he is facing seven more counts of sexual assault or indecent assault, as well as one allegation of forcing another person to engage in sexual behavior against their will.

Scotland Yard conducted an investigation on the claims.

“The CPS has authorised additional criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 63, for a number of sexual assaults against one man between 2001 and 2004,” said Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division as cited by Telegraph.

“The CPS has also authorised one charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. The authority to charge follows a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial.”
