A dog learned the hard way that he should not mess with Porcupines, because, despite having neither claws nor fangs, they can bring tremendous damage with their personal weapon: Quills.
Unlike hedgehogs, porcupines can be more agile with their quills, which are stuck in the attacker’s body. Gator, a two-year-old dog, has checked it out by his own.
The dog was hit by some 500 quills on its body and was seriously injured. Fortunately, he was much better off thanks to his visit to the vet. After a thirty hours treatment, his quills were removed.
So now you know, be very careful while dealing with these rodents, and no approaching them if they threaten to attack with their quills if you don’t want to end up like this Canadian dog.
