This is what a rocket launch looks like from the ISS

A video shows the unusual moment when a rocket is launched from Earth into space and how it looks from the International Space Station.

The recording shows an illuminated fiery rocket leaving Earth, rising and leaving the atmosphere. Then the rocket explodes and you see something like a cloud of smoke that is actually the start of the second stage of combustion. Eventually, the capsule is visible as a dot at the end of the clip and fades into darkness.

The video is reported to be of a Russian Soyuz rocket heading to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. It was captured by an astronaut from the European Space Agency in 2018, but it went viral on Twitter this October alone, receiving almost a million views in just four days.
