The 7 planets of the solar system will be seen in the sky in the coming days

Published on

The first weeks of November this year present the great opportunity to observe the seven planets of our solar system, five of them will be seen with the naked eye.

Starting on November 10, the illuminated side of the crescent moon will point to Venus and Mercuryreports the Earth Sky portal. These planets will be best observed just before sunrise, and Venus will be the third brightest celestial body after the Sun and the Moon. To find Mercury, you first have to find Venus and then look lower on the horizon.

The fiery red glow of Mars lights up the sky for most of the night. It reached its brightest in October and is already getting dark, but it is still very visible from Earth.

Jupiter and Saturn appear first thing in the evening in November 2020, and will continue to do so until the end of the year. They are close to each other. For the first time since 2000, Jupiter and Saturn will have a grand conjunction this year, in December 2020. This encounter in the sky occurs only once in 20 years.

Meanwhile, to observe Neptune and Uranus, simple binoculars will be needed.
