And although they didn’t speak, an expert has analyzed their body expression and claims that both are going through a tense situation.
Images of the first lady of the United States along with her husband were captured at Arlington Cemetery in the state of Virginia. Together they attended the Veterans Day celebration on November 11 to commemorate the soldiers who represented America in conflict.
Melania is seen walking holding the elbow of a soldier holding the umbrella, while the country’s chief appears isolated a few meters away. During the ceremony, Trump didn’t deliver any speech and remained silent in front of the monument to the unknown soldier.
When analyzing the video, a body language expert noticed a “gesture of tension” in Melania’s behavior that may signify her concern about what is to come: the possible exit from the White House and perhaps a probable divorce from Donald after 15 years together.
“With a defeat in sight though this latest appearance has been seen as prophetic and iconic, given the speculation and rumours that Melania might be poised to quit both the White House and her marriage,” said expert Judi James exclusively with Fabulous Digital magazine, quoted by The Sun newspaper.
As for the US president, his body language reflects the tension of recent days, due to the probable electoral defeat against the Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
James said, “As he stood saluting he seemed to rock on his feet and his breathing looked heavy.”
At the same time, some viewers claim that walking hand in hand with a military man means nothing more than the need for balance for Melania. It is difficult to walk on a wet floor in heels.
In addition, it seems to be part of the protocol, since Karen Pence, wife of US Vice President Mike Pence, was also accompanied by a military man with an umbrella during the ceremony.
James explains that the ritual appears to be “well-choreographed”, as her escort can be seen touching her with his elbow to show her when to stop and turn. Perhaps it was the safety instructions and not Melania’s own decision to show the public a “conscious uncoupling,” says the expert.
