Overweight people with high blood sugar and high-fat levels are prone to this disease.

Redness in the palms of the hands can be one of the signs of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. This disease is an aggressive form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis.

Symptoms also include bloating, dilated blood vessels under the skin, enlarged spleen, and yellowing of the skin and eyes.

Overweight people with high levels of sugar and fat in the blood are predisposed to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, the specialists of the clinic explained.

Complications can include, according to doctors, having increased pressure in the vein that may result from the inability of the liver to make enough of certain blood proteins, such as albumin, which can also cause changes to and swelling of the spleen, and trapping of white blood cells and platelets. Further, it may lead to serious bleeding, the body forgetting to fight infection, increased risk of cancer, the buildup of toxins in the brain and some people have also suffered from bone diseases.

To reduce the risk of developing the disease, doctors recommend avoiding alcohol, eating a healthy diet, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding sharing needles and unprotected sex.
