Five people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in a shooting that occurred in Indianapolis, according to local authorities.

At least five people were killed in the shooting in a residential building in Indiana. The incident occurred in the American city of Indianapolis on Sunday, January 24.

The information about the shooting came to the police at about 4.00 local time. The police who arrived at the scene first found the wounded teenager. Later, the police received information that the shooting was also carried out in a neighboring house, where the bodies of five people were found.

Names of the people killed in the mass shooting earlier today in Indy: Kezzie Childs, 42 Raymond Childs, Jr., 42 Elijah Childs, 18 Rita Childs, 13 Kiara Hawkins, 19

Kiara Hawkins was pregnant with a baby boy who also died.

The police believe that this is premeditated murder. The FBI is also involved in the investigation. The suspects have not been detained. Law enforcement officials admit that the attacker was not acting alone, and the mayor of the city, Joe Hogsett, called the incident a massacre.

“It has been a decade since we in the Indianapolis community continue to discuss the best way to address the deadly confluence of guns, substance abuse and poverty that has raised the murder rate in our city to all-time highs,” the mayor said.

The local police chief, Randal Taylor, assumed that the victims had been attacked by one or more people. Officers are investigating whether the shooters illegally obtained the weapons.
