Israel begins production of Antiviral Nasal spray, a “hand sanitizer equivalent for the nose” that kills viruses 99.9%

The Israeli Ministry of Health claims that nasal spray is effective within 2 minutes – It estimates that it can save many lives, especially in countries that do not have access to Covid vaccines

nasal spray is expected to be commercially available that can kill 99.9% of the particles of a virus. The spray is already being made in an Israeli factory.

The inventor of Dr. Gilly Regev told the Times of Israel that the spray could prevent much of the coronavirus from spreading around the world.

“We are hoping that our nasal spray will now save many lives of people in countries that are waiting for the vaccine,” said the biochemist, who co-founded SaNOtize and developed the spray in Canada. She argued that the product is affordable and can be used as a means of preventing and protecting against any viral respiratory infection.

According to the scientist, the spray is effective in the laboratory against a large number of viruses, while the coronavirus mutations do not affect its effectiveness.

“It contains a broad-spectrum antiviral that kills all viruses and all mutations,” she notes.

“Equivalent to hand disinfectant for the nose”

Regev described Enovid as a “hand sanitizer equivalent for the nose,” and stated that it creates a physical barrier in the nasal passages to stop viruses with a “chemical barrier” of nitric oxide, which is known for its antimicrobial properties. Due to the nitric oxide, the special spray does not “block” the viruses but kills them.

The spray will be sold first in Israel. Already, the Ministry of Health has given internal approval as a medicinal product suitable for people over 12 years, which means that it can be used by people who have not yet been deemed suitable for vaccination.

It has also been approved for sale in New Zealand and is expected to be approved in a number of countries, including the United Kingdom.

The factory in which it is produced in Israel is working to build a stock of 200,000-500,000 bottles by May, with production expected to increase in the coming months.

Positive results of laboratory tests

The product has been tested in the laboratory on a number of live viruses, including influenza and SARS-CoV-2. The experiments were performed in test tubes and do not explicitly guarantee how effective they are in nasal passages, although the evidence is encouraging.

Last week, the SaNOtize, the Ashford, and the University of Surrey in Britain announced results from clinical trials showing that the spray could prevent the transmission of Covid-19 and reduce the severity of symptoms in those infected. The study has been submitted for review and publication for medical review.

The spray was fully developed during the pandemic and was originally discovered to treat the flu, a process that lasted 12 years.
