Eight alarming signs of cancer you should watch out for

Cancer begins developing when cells in a part of the body multiply and split uncontrollably. When this destructive process takes place it may lead to pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer doesn’t have any symptoms, or it might be hard to find one. If signs do show up, they may take the form of changes to your poo.

According to the Columbia Surgery:

This can arise as a result of pressure from a pancreatic cyst or tumour on the stomach or the small intestine that causes a block in the digestive tract.

According to them, diarrhoea appears when the nutrients in food are not absorbed properly.

“When this occurs, stool can become loose, watery, oily and foul-smelling.”

If a tumour blocks the pancreatic duct, you may see the following changes:

  • Stool may float due to the higher fat content
  • Appear bulky
  • Appear greasy
  • Unusually pale.

Other more general warning signs include:

  • The whites of your eyes or your skin turn yellow (jaundice), you may also Have itchy skin, darker pee and paler poo than usual
  • Loss of appetite or losing weight without trying to
  • Feeling tired or having no energy
  • A high temperature, or feeling hot or shivery.

It is important to note that many of these symptoms are very common and can be caused by many different conditions.

Having them does not definitely mean you have pancreatic cancer.
