A photo of the stars, resembling a part of the animal’s body, was published on the occasion of World Elephant Day.
Researchers have captured the galaxy IC 1396A, which resembles an elephant’s trunk.
A surprisingly clear image was published by the observatory of the telescope James Webb on Twitter.
A photograph of the star cluster was captured using the Spitzer Space Telescope in infrared radiation. Galaxy IC 1396A is located in the constellation Cepheus.
“In honor of #WorldElephantDay, we’re featuring the Elephant’s Trunk Nebula. This stellar nursery was imaged by the Spitzer Space Telescope in infrared light, giving a preview of what #NASAWebb will provideonor of World Elephant Day, we present the Elephant Trunk Nebula,” NASA said.
