Consuming 1-propanol can result in fatal central nervous system depression.
Confusion, decreased consciousness, and slowed pulse and breathing are all possible symptoms of 1-propanol exposure. Individuals experiencing these symptoms should seek medical attention immediately.
When exposed to 1-propanol, the skin and eyes may become irritated, and allergic skin reactions may occur in some cases.
The FDA advised consumers who own these products to stop using them and dispose of them in a hazardous waste container.
Avoid flushing or pouring these products down the drain, the agency advised.
