After being turned away from the hospital twice, an 18-year-old woman gave birth to the baby in Ariquemes, Rondonia, Brazil. Doctors told her the baby was dead, but she didn’t believe them.

A premature baby born at home and assumed dead by a doctor was found to still breathing by a funeral director.

The 18-year-old mom, who has not been identified, sought medical attention in the town of Ariquemes, in the Brazilian state of Rondonia, on Monday, December 27, according to authorities.

According to reports in the local media, the mother was completely unaware of her pregnancy and went to the hospital twice after experiencing extreme discomfort.

Medical personnel, according to her family, sent her back to her house on both occasions since they did not realize she was pregnant on the first visit.

The pain became unbearable while she was at home, and she gave birth without medical assistance.

When the baby was delivered, it weighed 1kg and was born in the fifth month of pregnancy (2 lbs 3 oz). When they arrived at the hospital, the physicians determined that the baby was stillborn.

The funeral director, who has not been identified, was summoned to the hospital to collect the baby’s body and prepare it for the funeral.

He arrived at the scene about 3 a.m. on Tuesday to receive the body. A few hours later, while completing the burial rites, he saw the baby sighed and its heart was beating.

Death Certificate

He took the baby to the hospital right away, and the child was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for further treatment and monitoring.

The baby’s current health status is unknown at this time.

According to reports, the family and the funeral home have filed a police case. The investigation is still in progress.

It comes after a newborn baby girl was discovered alive in a wilderness with worms and insects crawling all over her.

When people discovered her, she had been there for two days and had been abandoned, with grazes and bruises on her face and insects crawling on her flesh.

The infant was completely naked, and he was lying on a bed of banana leaf plants that had been spread across the ground.

They clean her face and body with leaves and made sure she wasn’t seriously injured.

When she was rescued by villagers, she began to sob and was laid out on the ground while they awaited the arrival of police and emergency medical personnel.

The woman was bundled up in a blanket and placed on an emergency stretcher before being transported to the hospital, where she was treated for dehydration.
