An overview of the news presented by Acer at CES 2020 in Las Vegas

Convertible notebooks, workstations, projectors and monitors: an overview of the news presented by Acer at CES 2020 which opens in Las Vegas

Among the companies present at CES 2020, Acer has also chosen the Las Vegas fair to announce its hardware innovations. Laptops, desktop solutions and more, also monitors and projectors dedicated to meeting the needs of users in the field of productivity and entertainment.

Acer at CES 2020: ConceptD and beyond

Let’s start with some models of the ConceptD series spotted in preview in April last on the occasion of the Next @ Acer event. The RTX Studio of the ConceptD 7 Ezel range are convertible notebooks to be used as a traditional laptop or alternatively as a sort of tablet thanks to the large 4K IPS touch display (3840 × 2160 pixels), also with the aid of the Wacom EMR stylus provided Supplied. The surface is covered with a Gorilla Glass 6. Hardware side we get configurations with Intel Xeon E processor, up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 GPU, NVMe PCIe SSD up to 2 TB and Windows 10 operating system in version Pro.

There are also two Thunderbolt 3 ports, an SD card slot, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and a smooth glass touchpad. The prices start at $ 2800 or € 2,499 for the basic version and $ 3,300 or 2,999 Euros for that Pro with higher specifications. They will be available from April to May.

Then there is ConceptD 700, a  workstation with Intel Xeon E processors, up to 64 GB of RAM, support for SSD and HDD, graphics up to NVIDIA Quadro RTXTM 4000 for the needs of film producers, animators and AEC designers, all enclosed within a minimalist design with a finish on the upper side reminiscent of the grain of the wood. There is also an advanced system for heat dissipation based on three fans and the possibility of wireless charging of mobile devices. It will arrive on the EMEA market in March starting from $ 1900 or € 1,699.

TravelMate P6 and TravelMate P2 are added to the list of innovations, both with Intel Core i7 processors up to the tenth generation and with MIL-STD 810G certification which ensures resistance to bad weather and stress. The first (pictured below) was designed in collaboration with Intel as part of  Project Athena, enclosed in a magnesium-aluminium alloy frame, while the second offers a more traditional form factor with great autonomy and high performance. TravelMate P6 will be available in February with prices starting from $1,200 or 1,099 euros, TravelMate P2 will arrive already in the coming weeks with a basic expense of $670 or 599 euros.

Full HD 2K touch display with support for the Active Stylys pen, 10th generation Intel Core processors, up to 14 hours of autonomy and WiFi 6 for Spin 3 and Spin 5 (the latter in the image below). The screen, respectively 14 and 13.5 inches, rotate 360 degrees so as to offer excellent versatility for any occasion. They will debut on the market between March and April with prices starting from $725 or Euro 649 and $1,220 or 1,099 euros.

The succession of Acer news for the CES 2020 ends with the B250i portable LED projector equipped with Studio Sound technology (April, around $ 775 or 699 euros) and with the new Predator monitors for gaming: 55-inch CG552K (third quarter, from $3,000 or 2,699 euros), 37.5-inch X38 (April, around $2500 or 2,199 euros) and 32-inch X32 (second quarter, aprox $ 3,700 or 3,299 euros).
