Sony throws the house out the window with three high-level PlayStation 4 games and a PlayStation 5 premiere

February is ending and Sony has already announced which games will be enjoyed by subscribers to the PlayStation Plus service during the month of March. The good news is that it follows the trend of high-level games, as happened in February, where the games that were enabled were phenomenal Control Ultimate Edition, Concrete Genie, and a premiere for PlayStation 5, Destruction All-Stars.

But before reviewing each of the March games, it’s worth mentioning what PlayStation Plus consists of. It’s a subscription service that, in addition to enabling online features for the vast majority of console games, also allows you to save the progress of your games in the cloud, receive a number of games on a monthly basis, and, for PlayStation 5 users, access to the PlayStation Plus Collection: a selection with the best PlayStation 4 games in digital format – and in some cases, with improvements to PlayStation 5, including Uncharted 4, God of War, Days Gone, The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5 and more.

The cost of the subscription is $60 per year, which is usually amortized with the bundle of games included month by month, which you can access as long as you have an active subscription. For PlayStation 5 users, the add-on to the PlayStation Plus Collection is also added. With that said, we go over the PlayStation Plus games for the month of March.

Farpoint

The first game we are going to talk about is Farpoint. It is a title that will serve those who own the PlayStation virtual reality kit, the PlayStation VR. Within the wide catalog of games compatible with Sony’s helmet, Farpoint is one of those that was best received by both the public and the specialized critics. It is an action game in which we are stranded on an unknown planet, threatened by a huge number of alien enemies to dispatch with various very witty firearms.

As a strong point, it is worth mentioning that it looks really good with Sony’s first-generation helmet, as well as the fact that it is clearly inspired by renowned sci-fi films.

Remnant: From the Ashes

In general, when the term “soulslike” is mentioned, it refers to a game that runs on the rails of action, role-playing, hand-to-hand combat, with high difficulty and in the third person. Well, Remnant: From the Ashes meets all those requirements and adds a rare element to the formula: the use of firearms. Set in a post-apocalyptic setting, Remnant: From the Ashes invites you to eliminate a multidimensional entity known as The Root, which has destroyed practically the entire face of the Earth. To do so, we must make our way through different levels to reach an island that is presented as the origin of the invasion.

It is an ideal game to play solo, but even better to share with friends, as you can play cooperatively from four players. A great opportunity to take advantage now that everyone will have their copy via PlayStation Plus.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

What can be said about Final Fantasy VII Remake? It’s by far one of the best exclusive PlayStation games today, as well as the reimagination of one of the most beloved classics by the gaming community worldwide. The work done by Square Enix is outstanding in every way, from start to finish of this first great chapter: the libretto, the characters, its depth, the technical expertise with which the levels that in times of the first PlayStation were static images were brought to life.

It should be noted that the recently announced PlayStation 5 update on the State of Play will not be available to those who access Final Fantasy VII Remake via PlayStation Plus, but to those who purchase – or have already purchased – the game from the PlayStation Store.

Maquette

Maquette is the release of PlayStation 5 that will be included on PlayStation Plus for March. It is a narrative adventure that focuses on the story of a couple in love. The novelty of the matter is that, outside of that story, the game moves on the margins of an elaborate puzzle scenario to solve, which will be intimately related to the story Maquette has to tell us. It will be published by Annapurna Interactive, one of the most recognized independent publishing labels of the moment, not only in the field of the video games but in other media such as cinema. It promises to be one of the great independent titles of this first half of the year.
