A decade-long feud between Kanye West, also known as Ye and Drake, looks to have come to an end after the two rappers posted photos and videos of hanging out together.
Kanye West and Drake appeared to have put an end to their long-running dispute while partying together.
On Tuesday, both stars took to social media to announce the end of their relationship, with Kan’Ye’ – sharing a photo of the two smiling with J Prince and a dove emoji.
Fans and celebrities reacted positively to his photo, expressing their excitement that the two had put their issues aside.
Actor Dejon LaQuake wrote: “LEGENDARY,” while hip hop artist Speed Walton commented: “This how it’s supposed to be done. Two creatives coming together and not against each other it’s bigger fish to fry we better together not apart.
At the same time as the Gold Digger singer, 44, sharing the pic, Drake uploaded two videos, including one of the pair enjoying a hug and sing-along.
He captioned the videos: “You have reached your destination.”
The first clip showed comedian Dave Chappelle introducing the pair and saying how great it is that “two of the biggest stars on earth” were back in the same room as each other.
Basketball star Kyree Walker commented on Drake’s post with a simple goat emoji to say the best artists of all time had reunited.
Blogger Itsbizkitt also said: “Broke the internet.”
It appears that the “peace talks” took place in Drake’s home in Canada and in the second video Drake has his arm around Kanye as they enjoy a dance.
The reconciliation comes after Kanye reached out to the 35-year-old last week to “put their difference to rest” and stop their war of words.
He said in an Instagram video last Monday: “This is Ye and J. Prince. I’m making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest.
“I’m asking Drake on December 7 to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year, live in Los Angeles, with the ultimate purpose to free Larry Hoover.”
While it’s unclear whether the pair will reunite on the big stage, it’s certainly a step in the right direction.
The two artists had been involved in a dispute over alleged “diss” records and allegations of betrayal for over a decade.
Their on-going battle had regularly played out on social media, but it seems as though that is now going to be a thing of the past.
