The Food That Keeps Fatty Deposits In Check and Us Protected Against Heart Attacks, Strokes

This is the Food You Should Be Eating Every Day to Prevent the Formation of Fatty Deposits and Lower Heart Attacks, Stroke Risk As Revealed by Japanese Researchers.

Scientists have discovered that consuming a bowl of fresh strawberries can help prevent the formation of fatty deposits responsible for heart attacks and strokes. According to their study, this vitamin C-rich fruit offers protection against dangerous blockages in arteries caused by high cholesterol, and the positive effects can be observed within an hour of ingestion.

Researchers from Setsunan University in Osaka, Japan, conducted an experiment to determine how quickly the health benefits of strawberries manifest after consumption.

They enlisted 23 young women in their early twenties, all of whom were in good health, and provided them with either a 500g strawberry puree or a sugary beverage.

Half an hour later, blood samples were taken from the participants, and this process was repeated every 30 minutes for the next four hours.

The results, published in the Journal of Nutritional Science, revealed that the group that consumed strawberries exhibited fewer indications of the accumulation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) compared to those who had the sugary drink.

LDL is a harmful type of cholesterol that can cause the narrowing and blockage of blood vessels. Subsequent clot formation can lead to heart attacks or strokes. The benefits of consuming strawberry puree became evident within an hour and persisted for at least four hours thereafter.

The researchers emphasized the significance of strawberries as a valuable source of essential nutrients, highlighting that studies indicate a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease associated with high fruit consumption, particularly fruits like strawberries.
