US President Donald Trump called the sending of US troops to the Middle East the worst mistake in the history of his country by his predecessors

“The decision to go to the Middle East and get into in the Middle East was the biggest mistake made in the history of our country, that’s my opinion,” said the US president in an interview with the Axios portal.

Likewise, the president highlighted his management and compared it with previous administrations in the fight against terrorism against ISIS and other countries.

“When I took office after Obama, it was totally rampant. ISIS was everywhere. We eliminated them, we captured 100% of them, not 99%,” he exclaimed in time to mention the operations in which the troops participated. Americans in the Middle East.

“We have eliminated ISIS … We have eliminated [Qasem] Soleimani, we have also eliminated the terrorist leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi. I have done many things that other presidents have not done. They should never have gone to the Middle East,” Trump concluded.

Trump had previously stated that the United States intended to end the “never-ending wars” policy and sought to establish alliances rather than boost rivalry.
