At the same time, such a ban followed immediately after Twitter deleted a tweet from President Muhammadu Buhari two days ago. The leader of Nigeria wrote in it that he dealt with people in the southeast of the country, whom he blames for attacks on public infrastructure in the region.
“Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand,” wrote the president on his page.
This post was considered offensive by the Nigerians and began to retweet it with angry comments. After that, Twitter deleted the president’s post.
Previously, Twitter permanently blocked the account at the time of US President Donald Trump on January 8 after his supporters stormed the Capitol on the day of the approval of the presidential election by Congress, January 6.

Trump later stated that Twitter had become boring without him.
