These are the most effective fruits for reducing belly fat, says nutritionist

A group of experts have compiled a list of healthy fruits for reducing abdominal fat. According to them, the nutrients of specific fruits may be more effective in aiding weight loss.

Fruits not only help in weight loss due to their low-calorie content, but they are also rather filling due to the water they contain. They also help in the fight against inflammation, which causes fat deposits to accumulate in the body, particularly around the belly.

This was explained to Eat This, Not That! by nutritionist Dana Ellis Hunnes and other specialists, who emphasized the need of eating apples, grapefruit, avocado, and watermelon to combat belly fat.

Apples, they claim, have a beneficial effect on intestinal bacteria and can help to prevent inflammation, which can lead to weight gain. Grapefruit is another fruit that can help you lose belly fat.

“Due to its antioxidant components, grapefruit has been shown in studies to be associated with greater rates of weight loss”, says Brittany Lubeck citing a study that has shown that half a fresh grapefruit before dinner can help control obesity if consumed regularly.

Avocado, a fruit high in fiber and monounsaturated fats, supports weight loss and improves digestive function. Berries may also aid weight loss, according to a study published in Appetite.

Watermelon is another great fruit for losing weight. This fruit is 94 percent water, according to research, and eating a modest bit of it immediately before a large meal can aid in lowering hunger.
