7 foods to avoid if you have a migraine

It’s important to keep in mind that certain foods can exacerbate the severity of headaches. Which?

Migraine can be so painful that the person becomes disabled. In addition to the severe headache, other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, and dizziness.

Given the weakness that a migraine can cause, it is good to know what foods you should avoid so as not to trigger symptoms.

What foods can trigger migraines?

According to Medical News Today, we give a list of seven foods that can be beneficial in the treatment of migraine.

  1. Aged cheeses
  2. Alcohol, especially beer and red wine
  3. Chocolate
  4. Cured meats (beef and chicken livers, breaded meats, marinated meats).
  5. Foods with preservatives like nitrates, nitrites, monosodium glutamate, and artificial sweeteners.
  6. Smoked fish
  7. Yeast extract.

Changes in the environment, hormonal changes associated with the menstrual cycle or pregnancy, sensory stimulations such as bright lights and sounds, and stress are all variables that might lead to the onset of migraine.
