In Arizona, students waiting at school bus stops were robbed at gunpoint, according to authorities.

The armed robberies began early on Jan. 31 in El Mirage, according to the police department’s Facebook page.

Officers said they received multiple calls concerning the robberies. Police reportedly received a second robbery report at a Circle K in Surprise, possibly involving the armed suspects.

According to KNXV-TV, investigators found an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old in a blue sedan near a bus stop where they are accused of robbing kids. According to KTVK, police said the stolen black car they used during the crimes was parked near the 16-year-old’s car.

The 18-year-old man was identified byKTVKas David Artemio Rosales. He faces multiple charges, including robbery, assault, theft, weapons and explosives, and offenses against public order, according to his jail record.

A 17-year-old student who was robbed told KNXV-TV a black Nissan Altima pulled up to the bus stop in front of him and the driver told him to come to the car.

The driver showed the teen a gun, he said, so he gave over his phone, computer from his backpack and some “pocket change,” the news outlet reported.

No one was injured, police said.

El Mirage is about 19 miles northwest of Phoenix.
